IBPS CWE Exam Pattern 2011-Common Bank Exam pattern 2011

The Selection process for IBPS Common Written Exam shall consist of written test. The Written test is Objective as well as descriptive in nature

Objective test: The Objective test for Common Written Exam is no different from the other Banking Objective tests. The Objective test shall consist of Questions from the following sections:

Reasoning: 50 Questions carrying 50 marks

Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions carrying 50 marks

General Awareness: 50 Questions carrying 50 marks
(Some Questions in this section will be asked on Banking Awareness)

Computer Knowledge: 50 Questions carrying 50 marks

English: 50 Questions carrying 25 marks

The Total duration of Written Exam is 150 minutes. Apart from English Section, the weightage of every Single Question is 1 mark, whereas in English Section, each question carries 0.5 marks.



Descriptive Test: Apart from Written exam, there will be a descriptive exam. The Descriptive Papers is basically the test of English language and Question are asked on (Essay, Precis, Letter Writing etc).The total duration of this Exam is 1 hours and carries 25 marks

Descriptive Papers of only those candidates will be evaluated who secure Qualifying marks in the written exam.

Proper Time Management-The Key for Success in IBPS Exam 2011:

So candidates must apply proper time management during the Common Written Exam (CWE-2011).Students must not waste their time on tricky Questions and follow the rule of “Tick and Go” in General Awareness, Computer and English Sections. For the left over sections candidates must use the principle of “Speed and Accuracy”
